IMPHAL, Sept 3: The teachers have no other option than to go ahead and agitate and conduct a strike, a statement from the All Manipur Government Higher Secondary Lecturers Welfare Association stated today following a restrictive order dated 29 August from the Finance department on the employees of education (s) among six other state departments.
In a statement issued to the press, M Joykumar Singh, general secretary of the lecturers welfare asociation stated that the lecturers are going to observe the Teachers` Day on 5 September without any salary, like in last year.
