IMPHAL, September 1: The All Manipur Government Higher Secondary Lecturers` Welfare Association, AMGHSLWA has appealed to the authority to address the current state of uncertainty for principals and vice principals posted and promoted at various government higher secondary schools.
In a statement issued to the press, the general secretary of the association, M Joykumar stated and pointed out in a memorandum that in all the existing 39 Govt higher secondary schools, only 13 of them are having a “regular principal”, while the rest of the 26 remained uncertain till today. Most of the appointments were made and still holding their posts without proper qualification or RR for the last 10 years despite repeated and continued appeal to do justice, he added.
Recently, the state government had promoted a total of 15 vice principals but their posting remained uncertain again, the statement said and added, this does not give or award anyone with any benefits in any form though promoted since they have to appeal and seek for further postings again and their pay structure remained stagnant and same as before – Rs 9300-34,800-5,400.
The association also urged the government to clarify and rectify regarding the controversial service documents related to one of the promoted vice principal.
