IMPHAL, Sept 7: The Kangleipak Communist Party, Military Council (KCP-MC) has claimed responsibility for the bomb planted earlier on September 5 at the residential gate of the Khumanthem Joykumar, of Ngangkha Lawai, Bishnupur district who is a contesting candidate in the Gram Panchayat election.
Immediately after getting specific information about the whereabouts of 4-5 persons involved in a “fake surrender drama”, a five member “fighting-team” of KCP-MC headed towards the place, the residence of Khumanthem Joy to attack, the statement said and added, however on reaching the spot, the team found and realised they were not alone and several other innocent civilians were also present in the vicinity and would be hurt if they go ahead and attack.
To avoid collateral damage, the fighting team aborted the mission and left the scene, the statement further said and added however the team left a bomb at their gate as a “last warning” to those who tried to tarnish the image of revolution by involving in various petty activities against the revolutionary movement.
The statement also warned to stay away from such individuals or anyone involved in anti-revolutionary activities from now on for one`s own personal safety and precaution.
