IMPHAL, September 30: The Lions Club of Imphal Greater in collaboration with the National Rural Health Mission, Manipur organized a multicomponent Mega Health Camp at Andro today where more than 1500 patients ranging from all age groups including children were examined for their infirmity and illness.
The patients were supplied with free medicines.
All ailments that come under any of the following components of health like medicine, surgery, gynae, orthopeadics, ophthalmology, ENT, skin and dental including AYUSH were examined by a team of doctors who are specialists in their respective subjects.
The facilities of X-Rays, Ultra sound imagings and laboratory investigations were also provided free of cost; the cost being borne by the Lions Club of Imphal Greater.
The Project Director, National Rural Health Mission and the CMO Imphal East District also provided much needed help to the camp by personally visiting the camp side.
It is one of the major humanitarian projects taken up by the Lions Clubs every year keeping the Lions motto “we serve” the needy people.
