Manipur News, IMPHAL, Sept 10: A woman was burnt to dead on September 9 morning at, Budhabir Building, opposite Punjab National Bank, Thangal Bazar.
The woman has been identified as Laxmita Rout, 38 wife of Laxman Rout of Daititipur village, Ketarapara district, Orissa at present staying at Thangal Bazar.
The woman was soaked in kerosene before being set on fire.
The City Police took up a case on this regard. The body was handed over to the family members after post mortem was conducted at the RIMS morgue.
Police source informed that the woman had some psychological problems from before.
