IMPHAL, Sept 23: The 1st State Level Mathematics and Science Competition organised by Capacity Building Institute was conducted at GP Women’s College today.
In all 337 participated, of which 117 students participated in the Mathematics and about 220 participated in Science streams.
The main aim of the competition is to harness human resources and recognise the potential students have in their academic life.
A prize amount of Rs. 3000, Rs 2000 and Rs. 1000 will be awarded to students who secured first, second and third positions respectively, with certificates.
Capacity Building Institute president, L Sana Luwang stated his future plans that is going to be taken up in the future. He said,“ We plan giving free computer coaching for BPL families who can’t afford to do so by their own”.
Apart from competition we organise this way, we will also try to develop our traditional heritage like ‘Thangta’ in the future, added the president.
