IMPHAL, Sept 19: Local meira paibis of Mongshangei Gram panchayat took out a meira rally this evening around 7pm in the locality demanding repoll at the Mongshangei Gram Panchayat 10/3 polling station.
It may be mentioned that angered supporters of Mongshangei Gram Panchayat pradhan candidate K Sharvan Kumar had come out in the streets and blocked the Mongshangei road on September 18 around 11am alleging manipulation in the counting of ballot papers of the Mongshangei Gram Panchayat 10/3 polling station.
A supporter had claimed that while it was reported that only 701 votes had been cast on the polling day at the polling station, during the counting today it was found that the number had reached 705 ballot papers.
