IMPHAL, 8 September : A team of Commandos of District police Thoubal arrested a cadre of NSCN (K) during a search operation conducted at Umathel village today at around 1.50 pm. The arrested has been identified as SK Stephen Lamkang, 28, son of SK Thamnok of Komsen village, a statement from the superintendent of police, Thoubal district said and added, a 9 mm pistol with 3 live rounds were recovered. S/S Sgt. Stephen joined NSCN (K) and trained at Khewai village, Dimapur in the year 2008 and worked under the command of Khelovic, Kilonsor, NSCN (K), the statement added.
