IMPHAL, September 1: The state hockey team defeated Tripura by 12-1 in the opening match of the Group B of the 2nd Hockey India Junior Men’s National Hockey Championship, 2012 held at Lucknow.
The Manipur team will play Orissa tomorrow.
The scorers are K Deveshor (4 goals), N Gyanendrajit (3 goals), Ch Dayananda and Th Kiran Kumar (2 goals each) and N Jenjen (1 goal).
