IMPHAL, September 8: The All Manipur Road Transport Drivers’ & Motor Works Union has demanded a clarification from the Indian Oil Corporation, IOC regarding the charges made by Barman of Dimapur Depot against the All Manipur Road Transport Drivers’ & Motor Works’ Union joint secretary Naorem Dillip.
In a statement issued to the press, the joint secretary, Naorem Dillip demanded the clarification on or before September 11, failing which the LPG and Oil tankers will launch an agitation from September 12.
Barman had also collected a sum of Rs 2000 and Rs 2500 from several oil tankers and transporters saying the collections were made with the knowledge of Dillip, the statement added.
The statement has further appealed to the authorities of the IOC to look into the dealings of Barman.
