IMPHAL, September 8: ESU Wangkhei consecutively loses for the second time at the ongoing 7th Manipur State League here at Mapal Kangjeibung.
In the 14th match of the league today, ESU Wangkhei was lost to USA Khurai with a huge margin of 4-0 scoreline.
The today’s win is the first for USA from three matches they have played. So far they have earned 4 points.
ESU has so far earned three points from three matches.
The first half of the match was quite interesting for the crowd with great competition between the two teams, but the later part was a disappointment as USA team playing with full domination without any competition.
USA took the lead with 1-0 goals till the end of the first half of the match, and added another three more goals in the second half.
The first goal of USA was scored by A Binesh in the additional time of first half. The second goal was scored by John L Hmar (56th minute) and the remaining two goals were scored by L Sanatomba in 80th and 82nd minutes.
USA’s S Dinakumar and Sanatomba were booked yellow cards by referee in the 13th and 83rd minutes.
L Boinao of ESU was also booked a yellow card in 50th minute.
AIM Khabam will clash with TRUGPU Nambol in the match tomorrow.
