IMPHAL, October 28: A one day liaison meeting cum interaction program with the villagers and Assam Rifles was held yesterday at Sagolmang 16 AR Post organised by the 16 Assam Rifles.
The function was attended by Commanding Officer of 16 AR, Naveen as the chief guest.
The function saw villagers of 57 different villages under Sagolmang 16AR post jurisdiction. The villagers interacted with the CO and Post Commander of the Sagolmang Post, Major Irengbam John.
During the interaction program the villagers shared their grievances regarding poor power supply, lack of drinking water supply and other problems they faced in day to day lives.
The villager also requested to provide some items like solar lamps, construction of community hall, bus waiting shed, hand pump, etc., which are under the military civic action program, at their respective villages.
On which, the Commanding Officer assured the villagers that they will take up their grievances to the higher officials and will try to provide the items.
