IMPHAL, October 5: A cabinet meet held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat approved of the funds released for various schemes under the Social Welfare Department to be deposited in the respective bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
The schemes of old age pension, widow pension scheme among others will be deposited in bank accounts from now onwards.
However, due to lack of banking facility in fur flung areas mainly of the interior hill districts. A representative will be allowed to gather the funds for the beneficiaries of the area.
The cabinet also approved the holiday list for 2013.
