IMPHAL, October 16: ESU Wangkhei and SSU Singjamei registered wins in today’s matches of the 7th Manipur State League at Khuman Lampak.
In the 48th match of the league and today’s first ground match, ESU defeated NISA by 3-1 goals. ESU has now secured 6 points from 9 matches.
Ch Roshan (3rd), S Ratan (17th) and Th Ratan (61st) scored for ESU, while the lone goal of NISA was scored by S Herojit (29th).
ESU’s S Ratan (65th) and A Ratan (74th) were shown yellow cards by the referee.
Meanwhile, in the 49th match and today’s 2nd ground match, SSU beat NEROCA by 1-0 goals. SSU now secures the same points as of AIM Khabam Lamkhai’s with 20 points. But AIM still holds the 2nd place in the point table as AIM is superior in goal difference by 3 goals.
The lone goal of the match was scored by T Raju in the 12th minute.
SSU’s A Arun (20th), Riyas Khan (75th) and NEROCA’s L Manitombi Singh (25th) and M Tyson (78th) were shown yellow cards by the referee.
