    IMPHAL, October 9: The Federation of All Tribal Youth clubs, Manipur demands for decentralization of power and funds to streamline the existing practice of work allocation and administration in the departmental of Directorate of Tribal Affairs and Hills.

    A release by R Asing and Leithang Haokip, president and secretary of the organization states that the tribal’s of the State has been marginalized.

    A memorandum submitted to the minister of Tribal Affairs and Hills urge that the post of DDO and PMS should be allotted and given to tribal officers, retired staff are re-employed and such practice is not in public interest and employment should be given to the deserving qualified persons.

    Unpaid arrears, post metric scholarship for 2010-2011 must be paid without further delay among others demands. It further demanded that a separate commissioner should be instituted for the Tribal Affairs and Hills department at the earlist.
