IMPHAL, Oct 24: The Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System, JCILPS has decided to demonstrate on October 31 with the objective of pressing the Union Home Ministry to come to a decision on the introduction of the Inner Line Permit.
A statement of the committee said that the state Assembly had already placed its July 13 resolution taken before the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. However the Ministry is yet to take any decision.
The sit in protest demonstration will be staged at the Keishampat Lairembi community hall, continued the statement.
It has further appeal to all the people of the state to join in the demonstration.
