IMPHAL, October 20: “How a person that holds a gun previously, would hold a pen to render the services that is mean to enlighten the educational sector of the state”, this was said during a press conference by the convenor, Umakanta, of the Joint student coordinator committee (JSCC), Manipur condemning the govt. decision to appoint P Dhana Kumar as the new chairman of Board of secondary education, Manipur (BOSEM).
The press conference was held today at the office of JSCC, Keisampat at 3pm today afternoon, was attended by the members and executives of JSCC. Speaking the media person, the members of the JSCC have said that on 10, October, the state media have reported that P Dhana kumar would chair the BOSEM on deputation for the tenure of 2-years. And the news of the appointment of an active servant as a chairman of BOSEM upsets the student committee. Further the student committee have said that P Dhana Kumar has been in active service for a long time. So it won’t be suited for him to joint education sectors.
The JSCC further request the BOSEM authority to made avail the books for the student before initiation of the next academic session.
