IMPHAL, October 24: The 17th M Chittamani Singh Memorial Winners’ Cup, 2012 commenced today on a home and away basis with eight teams participating.
The winners cup is being organized by the All Manipur Football Association.
YOSC, Khurai defeated KLASA, Keinou at home by 3-1 goals. L Bharat (42nd, 58th) and Md Aulat (66th) scored for the home team while K Nepolean scored for the visitors in the 82nd minute.
Meanwhile, Yarkhok United FC, Ukhrul played at Pettigrew College ground as their home ground against City Club, Thoubal.
Yarkhok United club defeated City Club, Thoubal by 3-1.
Kh Govind Singh (15th), Reisangmi (49th) and Pamreisang (90+3rd) scored for the Ukhrul team while, Joychandra scored for the Thoubal club.
ZFC, CCpur playing at home defeated UBSA, Kakching by 4-0. Helun Haokip scored a hattrick (16th, 31st,65th) while Pakhonggam added another in the 59th minute.
In another match of the day, DMRAO Sekmai defeated FC, Khanglai Sadar Hills playing at its SKYC homeground.DMRAO scored 6 goals while the Sadar Hills club failed to score a single.
Sh Rabindra scored 3 (44th, 51st, 90+2nd) while Ng Prakash (4th), Thangjoylen Khongsai (9th) and H Kilong (52nd) added one each.
