IMPHAL, Oct 28: The People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (Pro) has claimed in a press statement that Hidangmayum Dhananjoy, 37 son of Kalachan of Kongba Laishram Leikai who was arrested on October 18 by a combined team of Imphal West, Imphal East and Thoubal districts cdo from his residence is not related in any way with the outfit.
A statement of the proscribed outfit has identified Sanjoy as a transporter along the Imphal-Moreh road and said that the items seized from his van belong to the outfit.
The outfit had requested Sanjoy to simply transport the items to a place during which he was arrested, the statement claimed.
The police team had recovered explosives from Sanjoy’s van during his arrest on October 18.
