NSA bags most number of medals in wrestling championship

    IMPHAL, October 14: National Sports Academy (NSA) has won the medals race in the State Level Wrestling Championship 2012 by winning a total of 27 medals, out of which 13 are gold medals, 8 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.

    The championship was organized by Manipur Wrestling Association at SAG Hall, Khuman Lampak.

    The concluding day today’s function was attended by Salam, Imocha Singh, District & Session Judge, W Chaobahal Singh, president-in-charge, Manipur Wrestling Association, L Ibomcha Singh, Dronacharya Awardee and BC Sharma, vice-president, Manipur Olympic Association as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.        

    Mini Boys’ 47 kg result: Ch Raja Singh (SAG) bagged gold, K Ahenba Singh (NSA) bagged silver and T Gobindas Sharma (SAG) and W Devananda (NSA) bagged bronze.

    Mini Boys’ 53 kg result: Th Ajoy Singh (NSA) bagged gold, N Dinesh Singh (Kakching) bagged silver and Sandeepkumar (NSA) and M Mohondas Singh (NSA) bagged bronze.

    Mini Girls’ 52 kg result: Ksh Bijiya Devi (SAG) bagged gold, H Menaobi Chanu (NSA) bagged silver and K Sobiya Devi (Pukhao) bagged bronze.

    Sub-Junior Boys’ 50 kg result: A Santosh Meitei (SAG) bagged gold, N Shasikumar Meitei (SAG) bagged silver and Dilkumar Neoponey (NSA) bagged bronze.

    Sub-Junior Boys’ 54 kg result: T Rishikanta Sharma (SAG) bagged gold, N Shasikumar Meitei (SAG) bagged silver and Ch Rashpal Singh (Lamdeng) bagged bronze.

    Sub-Junior Boys’ 58 kg result: RK Columbus (SAG) bagged gold, Bribasil (NSA) bagged silver and N Surjit Meetei (Waiton) bagged bronze.

    Junior Boys’ 55 kg result: N Suresh Singh (SAG) bagged gold, Y Suresh Singh (Pukhao) bagged silver and M Geet Singh (Thoubal) bagged bronze.
