IMPHAL October 19: A team of Imphal West Commandos launched counter insurgency operation based in on a intelligence collection regarding the destructive activities initiated by different underground organisation in connection with the Police Raising day 2012 four active member of PREPAK were arrested during the last 24 hours.
In a meet with the press today, the arrestee has been identified as Nepram Gojendra Singh Meitei, 46 son of N Ibomcha Meitei of Bashikhong Torbanm Wahengbam Kailesh Devi, 35 son of late W Ibochouba of Thongju part II Koiru, Ningthoujam Osis Singh alias Naoba, 22, son of N Manikchand Singh of Laphupat Tera, Sarangthem (N) Sanasam (O) Janeshwori, 42, wife of Sanasam Manihar alias Mani of Hiyangtheng Mayai leikai and a Chinese hand grenade, five in numbers were recovered from them.
The police team also recovered several demand letters and five more bomb detonators and three mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
Upon further investigation, they were working under one SS captain Tangba alias Dhamen of Bashikhong, at present Myanmar, the police spokesman added.
Meanwhile, the Imphal West district in a search operation of Taothong Lamkhai area Imphal west district police commandos arrested active member of KCP (MC) Lanlumba group namely Irengbam Manimukta alias Aboy, 23, son of I. Jugon of Wangoo Chairen Awang Leikai, Thoubal District.
