IMPHAL, Oct 16 (NNN): The DPC Faced Candidates Action Committee, Sericulture department has appealed to the concerned authorities to declare the results of Sericulture Inspector and Farm Overseer D.P.C test which was conducted by the Sericulture Department, Government of Manipur on August 28, 29 and 30 last.
Briefing media persons on the issue today at Nagamapal Paonam Leirak, Convenor of the committee Y Munindro, stated that the Sericulture Department had conducted a similar D.P.C test for the post of Sericulture Inspector and Farm Overser in 2001 and 2010 which were later cancelled without giving specific reasons and added that the department conducted the same test again on August 28, 29 and 30 last for which the results are yet to be declared too.
Suspecting irregularities in the conduct, Munindro said the government had taken more than enough time in declaring the results and questioned on what agenda the government is keeping to hold on the results even after the general election had already been conducted.
He added that candidates who had faced the D.P.C. test are facing the threats of crossing age limit due to the delaying in declaring the results.
Stating that the Sericulture Department of the state is on the brink of going paralysed due to the shortage of experts and technical staffs in the department, the committee further appealed to the Chief Minister and concerned Minister Govindas Konthoujam to declare the results at the earliest.
