IMPHAL, October 22: Sagolband MLA, RK Imo Singh had represented the state during the 2nd Eclectic Young Leaders Connect at Kohima held on October 20.
On his return from Kohima, the MLA conducted a press briefing at his residence elaborating on his experience at the festival.
He said the conference which was organised by Youth Net in association with the Nagaland government and was held at Bambo Hall Kisama village, Kohima. He continued that there was representative of the state during the conference’s first edition.
Elaborating on this year’s edition, he said the organizers had invited several young leaders and achievers from various backgrounds including himself, MPS, sportspersons, journalists, entrepreneurs, fashion designers etc.
The invitees include Nagaland Minister Chunden Murray, Orissa MP Jay Panda, Rajya Sabha MP from Karnataka, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Meghalaya Opposition leader Conrad Sagma, Assam MLAs Sushmita Dev, Gaurav Gogoi, Sportsperson Baichung Bhutia, Journalist Bano Haralu, CNN IBN, Business Editor, Karma Paljor, fashion designer Norden Wangdi and others.
He continued that political leaders present at the conference were asked to deliver their speeches on “Moral leadership is essential to good governance”.
He further told the media persons that in his speech he had expressed that a leaders should have a vision and the capacity to place all existing communities on a common platform.
He had also addressed that the leaders should give special focus on the youth and added that the young leaders should be committed to their duties towards the betterment of the society.
He ended his address with a question on how relevant the topic is in the present political scenario of the region.
