IMPHAL, October 13: “A students’ body should only work for the betterment of students. Let the police perform their duty and AMUCO too will also deal with matters which are of our concern.”
This was said by AMUCO President KT Rehman, speaking at the 14th foundation day celebration of Manipuri Students’ Federation (MSF) today at Konjeng Hajari Youth Development Club’s community hall, Tiddim Road.
He further said that students should only involve in education related issues, like, lack of teachers or no proper infrastructure or unavailability of books etc. They should not get involve in other issues on Human rights or price rise etc.
He urged the students to pressurize the concern authority to include a syllabus to study on our forefathers/ancestors and our history.
The function was attended by Ph Nando Luwang, Y Dhakeshor Singh, Kh Gourachnadra Singh, S Sanjoy Singh, Md Attabuddin, Laishram Ibomcha, Ng Milan Singh, who are former presidents of MSF, and Longjam Umakanta Meitei, president of MSF as presidium members.
The function was also attended by social worker Th Iboyaima.
