IMPHAL, Oct, 25: The district level Kut committee, Tamelong has said that they are organizing district level Kut festival 2012 on November 1, 2012 at Phaitol Lentol under Tousem-Subdivision, Tamelong district of Manipur, according to a press release by Lamkholein Singsit, Secretary District level Kut Committee 2012, Tamelong.
As per the press release, the function will have two main programmes which would be held in morning and evening as different session respectively. The organizing committee further added that the main programme of the function would be traditional and cultural dances, with beauty contest for Miss Kut. The organizing committee further added that any person, from the Kut celebrating tribes from the district, willing to take part in the beauty contest may contact Seithang Khongsang or Minthang Singson, organissing sub-committee of Miss Kut before 27 of this month. The committed further added that the winners of the beauty pageant would be awarded an amount of Rs. 20000 and Rs. 15000 and 10,000 to first and second runner respectively.
The press released further added that the celebration would be attended and grace by Local MLA of 52-Tamie sub-division A/C and other state important personalities.
