IMPHAL, October 6: The Thadou Students` Association endorsed the statement made by JCHDSO regarding the indefinite economic blockade on the national highways which will begin from the midnight of October 15 as a protest against the TET issues in the hills saying the government had turned a deaf ear to their woes and discriminated one and in all essential basic requirements of life.
In a statement, the association further pointed out that in order to get a TET form and to submit takes a lot more expenses unlike other people in the rest of the state. Stating that one has to spend around Rs 900 for the far, fooding and lodging etc for the cost in coming down to Imphal from the remote district to get avail the facility in the valleys. Likewise, the time consumed n all these process is also one more burden and one can escape the reality.
In all these circumstances, the association urged the authority to at least do something to ease the problem in some way or the other so that TET aspirants from far and flung areas of Manipur may one day outshine in their respective areas.
