IMPHAL, Oct 13: A partly decomposed body of a person identified as a VDF personnel was found dead from a place near Mahaballi temple. He was suspected to be hanged to dead by a rope, sources said and added, the body must be two-three days old from the nature of the decomposition.
The deceased VDF personnel has been identified as Hidangmayum Ishwarchandra, 32, son of H Nabachandra alias Ramba of Bramhmapur Nahabam Leikai. He is currently attached to the Imphal East District police, reports said.
A case has been registered and the post mortem has been carried out at JNIMS hospital and kept in their mortuary, reports added.
