Wangjing sit in protest

    IMPHAL, October 17: A sit in protest was held today at Wangjing Bazar as a protest against the killing of M Rajen Singh at 1:30 pm  a statement said today and added,  the gathering also demanded adequate compensation to the deceased family members and a JAC has been formed.

    The deceased has been identified as Rajen, 47, son of late Ahanjao of Kangabok part 1. However he resided at the place of his mother at Wangjing Lamdeng.

    He deceased was found at Khongjom with head injury at around 8:30 earlier on October 15. Later he was admitted to Raj Polyclinic and succumbed to his injuries yesterday around 5 pm.

    Post mortem was conducted at JNIMS mortuary and kept there by Kakching police.

    The deceased is survived by four of his children and a history of drug misuse and abuse history. He is also involved with certain NGOs and works as a sweeper for the Wangjing bazar.
