IMPHAL, October 11: A 23-year-old youth driving a moped was killed in road accident with a water tanker truck today at around 8:10 am near the traffic island in front of Imphal Post office head quarter.
The decease person has been identified as Ahbhujam Sanjok, 23, son of A Naobi of Thoubal Sanlungpham Maning Leikai.
The incident occurred when the water tanker coming from Sanjengthong side hit the youth on Honda access. He was rushed to RIMS hospital but succumbed to his injury on the way and he was declared brought dead by the doctor at the hospital.
The registration number of the water tanker is MN01J 8140 and the two wheeler registration number is MN04D- 9355.
The death body was handed over to his family member after post mortem at RIMS morgue.
