IMPHAL, November 04: The Guru Abunghal dance and music center celebrated its 19th annual function with the performance of a dance drama “Nimai Sanyas: Aviram Sanga” at J.N.M dance academy hall today.
The dance drama was performed for the first time on the stage today.
The programme was graced by Laishom Ibomcha Singh, MLA Keishamthong A/C, L.Upendra Sharma, Director of the J.N.M dance academy and K. Hemchandra Sinch as the chief guest, guest of Honour and president respectively.
Speaking regarding the dance drama, K Hemchandra singh said that the dance drama preserves the culture and art of Manipur. He further added that it is through this dances that people in other parts of India and world would learn about the art and culture of the state.
The dance drama, “Nimai sanyas: Aviram sanga” was performed by L.Memcha,an ex student of the J.N.M dance academy and her party.
Other solo dances were also performed at the function. Manglacharan dance was presented by SH. Devananda Sharma and Krishna Vandana by H.Yairembi Chanu.
