KANGPOKPI, Nov.24: The Agape Christian English School, Kangpokpi observed Childrens’ Day cum 3rd Annual Sports Prizes distribution day in its Campus at Kangpokpi today.
The special occasion was attended by CO 14 Assam Rifles, Kangpokpi post, Major Marathe, as Chief Guest while Lammang Kipgen and Seiminthang of Kangpokpi Police attended the function as Guest of Honour and Functional President respectively.Pastor Lhunkhohao, Advisor of Agape Christian Home,opened the function which followed by a various cultural dances, solo from the students.
Speaking at the occasion, Major Marathe said that, education is the most important parts of life whether you are from a poor family or a rich family, irrespectively of caste and tribe. So students should struggle hard to get good education because without education, nobody will achieve what they want in their life. The major also donated some bags of rice and important materials for the students and assured to help them also in future.
There are more 300 students enrolled in the school for the current year while there are 43 orphanages in the Agape Christian Home run by the school without any sponsor till now.
