IMPHAL, November 6: Condolence massages on the untimely demise of the renowned singer and actor Khundrakpam Joykumar continues to pour in.
Th Lokeshwor Singh, Speaker, Manipur Legislative Assembly, in his condolence message said, “I feel very unhappy and express my profound grief over the untimely demise of the renowned singer and actor Khundrakpam Joykumar who passed away on November 3, 2012. I would like to recall his contributions to music, theatre and films and his death is an irreparable loss to the state.”
“I share in the grief of the family members of Khun Joykumar and pray to almighty God that his soul may rest in peace.”
The All Manipur United Clubs’ Organization (AMUCO), in their condolence message said that a meeting of AMUCO members was held today morning at around 11 am to condole on the untimely demise of the renowned singer Khundrakpam Joykumar. A two minute silence was observed at meeting as a mark of respect to the departed soul and they also share in the grief of his family members, the message said.
During the meeting, AMUCO remembered his contribution towards the Manipuri society in the field of music, films and theatre, it added.
IPAK Films Production, in a statement, said that they have also organized a condolence meeting today at 1 pm to condole on the untimely demise of the singer with the director of the production house, OC Mera on the chair.
