IMPHAL, November 7: A partly decomposed dead body of an unidentified person was found this morning from a gorge at the Ngariyan Hillock Warok Tera Makhong near Karpur Sungba about 7 km from Yairipok Police Station.
Police received the report about the recovery of the dead body at around 10:35am this morning. The body was found in a gorge about 10 feet deep along the Ngarian road.
A nylon rope was found tied around the neck of the dead body and both his hands tied by a plastic rope.
There was also a spot on the back of his head like as if something big had hit him.
The man has a oval shape face, receding hairline and wearing a white t-shirt. The dead body had no pants and wearing socks without shoes.
Meanwhile, police say that the body could have been dumped at the gorge after killing him somewhere else. The dead body has been deposited at the JNIMS morgue.
