IMPHAL, Nov 21: The state Taxes department has launched the facility for ‘e-payment of taxes’ today at a simple function held here at Nirmala Hotel.
According to release of the department, E-payment is a facility provided to dealers/taxpayers to make commercial tax (VAT and CST) payments though internet, using net-banking facility. Dealers can use this module if they have a bank account with net-banking facility. Presently, State Bank of India (SBI) has been authorized to facilitate e-payment of commercial taxes.
