IMPHAL, Nov 2 (NNN): The Federation of All Tribal Youth Club Manipur
(FATCYM) has extended heartfelt congratulation to Gaikhangam on his recent appointment as the Deputy Chief Minister of the State.
FATCYM’s president R. Ashing stated that the moment of occupying the highly prestigious designation by a tribal MLA is a great moment of joy and pride for all the tribal people of the State expressing that Gaikhanagam is a noble and efficient political leader who has been working sincerely for the betterment of the people.
The FATCYM president said the minister should work hard for the welfare of the people and try to bring development to both the hillsand valley knowing the desires and faith of the public and exuded confidence that the State’s law and order problem would improve under his leadership.
R. Ashing on the behalf of the association further wished the minister for a prosperous political journey.
It may be mentioned that under instructions from the All India Congress Committee, Home Minister Gaikhangam was appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of the State on November 1, The order was issued by DS Poonia, Chief Secretary of the State.
The Deputy Chief Minister will also continue to hold the portfolios of Home and Tribal Development.
