IMPHALl, Nov 13 (UNA): The KSDC has appealed to all the frontal organisations/ associations/ institutions/ NGO/ Clubs, etc. to extend their full support and co-operation to the proposed indefinite blockade due to commence from November 15 evening.

In an appeal note signed by S George Guite, information and publicity secretary of KSDC dispatched today, said “the Kukis in Manipur, under the aegis of KSDC was protesting in the form of bandh for disillusioned with the governments’ long overdue denial of a ‘political space’- the right to live in freedom in our ancestral land.”

The Kukis had already took a series of bandhs, peaceful rally, etc. on several occasions to demand a separate Kuki state by restoring Kuki ancestral lands for lasting peace and security in the state. But the government of India remains a mute spectator till date.

KDSDC will never compromised under any circumstance the interest of Kuki people and as such KSDC was compelled to call indefinite blockade in all the life lines of Manipur inhabited by the Kukis which include Imphal to Senapati, Imphal to Tamenglong, Imphal to Ukhrul, Imphal to Saikul, Imphal to Moreh, Imphal to Chandel, and Imphal to Churachandpur with effective from 5 pm of November 15.

The blockade will be imposed until a written assurance was received from New Delhi.
