IMPHAL, Nov 25: A 39-year-old man was killed after the car he was driving collided with a dumper truck at Lilong Usoipokpi along NH-2 (Imp-Moreh) on Saturday afternoon.
According to police report, the accident happened at around 2 pm when the Maruti car bearing registration number MN-O4A-6602 heading towards Thoubal from Imphal had a head on collision with dumper truck coming from the opposite side.
The deceased has been identified as one Wangjam Premkumar, 39, son of late Gourahari of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai. He succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.
Lilong police has seized the truck and a case has been registered in regard with the incident. The death body was handed over to his family members after conducting post mortem at JNIMS.
