IMPHAL, Nov 17: The Secretary of Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi Dr MK Bhan visited the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal situated at Takyelpat today.
Speaking the newsperson after the meeting, Dr Bhan said that around three to four new buildings would be constructed at IBSD, Imphal campus within a timeline of 2 years.
He further added many new units would be opened at the said new building. He maintained that special attention would also be paid to improve the weak areas of IBSD, Imphal.
The purpose of his visit was to chair the finance and governing councils meeting of IBSD, Imphal.
The meeting started around 3 pm in which the members discussed the issue on the requirement of human resources in IBSD, Imphal.
The members present in the meeting stressed the needs of faculty in pharmacology, and the requirement of technical assistance to handle important equipment place in the laboratory.
