IMPHAL, November 6: The U-14 and U-17 Boys and Girls State Level Inter School Boxing tournament kicked off today at the human Lampak Boxing Arena.
The tournament has been organized by the Department of the Youth Afairs and Sports and participated by boxers from Imphal East, West, CCpur, Tamenglong, Senapati, Kangpkpi, Chandel, Bishnupur, Ukhrul and Thoubal.
In today’s bouts of the U-14 Boys’quarter final (46-46kg), L Marjit (Kangpokpi) defeated S Jim (I/W) in the 48-50kg, S Ratan (BPR) defeated Joshep (CCPur), while in the 36-38kg L Nonglemba (I/E) deeated S Dingko (Tbl), H Allen (I/W) defeated N Johnson (Ukl) while P Bikash (Ukl) defeated Revandro (Tbl).
In the 40-42kg category, A Temba (I/W) defeated T Itoranjan (Bpr), N Dhaneshwor (CDL) defeated H Bonel (Kpi) while in the 44-46kg category, Y Rabi (Tbl) defeated Th Rishi (CCpur).
