IMPHAL, November 6: A team of Imphal East Police commandos arrested a PREPAK cadre from Patchou village at around 6.45 pm yesterday. The person is identified as one Hauroupam Rupachandra alias Naosek,20, s/o H Shyam of Lakhipur village.
On verification, he disclosed on joining the organization in February 2012 through one Nganthoi and was involved in extorting money from the public, Govt. officials, private firms, businessmen etc.
Further, a team of East commandos arrested a PLA cadre today at around 7.15 am. The individual is identified as Seilal Khongsai,33, s/o Yamsei Khongsai of Shongathel. One pistol and explosive material with detonators were seized from his possession.
He had stated of being an active PLA member and works under the command of Sharat. He was involved in extorting money from the public of Andro area, a press release by SP of Imphal East, Kamei Angam Romanus states.
