MOREH, November 4: A Moreh Police team have arrested two alleged PREPAK (Pro) cadres from around the Moreh Trade Centre area this early morning around 3:40am.
According to police source, receiving credible information about the presence of certain underground elements in the area, a combined team of Moreh SDPO Balaram Singh and OC Moreh, Inspector Anand led by Jemadar Birla conducted frisking and search operation at the area since 3:10am this morning.
During the operation, the police team arrested one Yendrembam Somorjit Singh, 41 son f (L) Y Joy alias Ningthemjao of Haoreibi mayai Leikai and at present staying at Moreh Muslim Nagar, Ward No 5 and Leithanthem Ibomcha Singh, 53 son of (L) L Yaima Singh of Mayang Impal Thana Awang Leikai at present staying at Moreh Ward No 4 Prem Nagar.
The two were arrested around 3:40am.
During interrogation, the two disclosed that the two are working under one Brojen of PREPAK (Pro) and that they were involved in delivering demand letters to government officials, general public, businessmen, etc.
They also disclosed that they were involved in procuring and transportation of arms for the outfit, the source said.
The two have been handed over to the Moreh PS.
