IMPHAL, December 6: The driver of an auto rickshaw who got injured after his auto collided with a bajaj pulsar succumbed to his injury today at 3:30am after being treated at Shija Hospitals. The accident occurred near 2nd main gate of Khuman Lampak main stadium under Imphal Police Station on December 4, 2012 at 3pm. The deceased driver is identified as Md Abdul Majid S/o Md Rasid of Kairang Mayai Leikai.
In another incident, a youth named Kangjam Yaiphathoiba (19) S/o K Chaoba of Langthabal Mayai Leikai lost his life when his Yamaha FZ skidded at Tendongyan dukan under Sekmai Police Station yesterday at 4:40pm.
Meanwhile a person died and two other injured when a Maruti Van (MN 0 2A/6648) skidded at Tronglaobi Makha Leikai under Moirang Police Station yesterday at 9pm. They were returning after attending a wedding. The dead is identified as Elangbam Ibotombi (62) S/o Late Kamdar of Heirok Bazaar.
The dead bodies of the three persons were handed over to their respective relatives after their post mortems done at RIMS today.
