IMPHAL, December 31: A Press Meet was organized by the CPI Manipur State Council at the party office at Irabot Bhavan, regarding the resolution made yesterday by its Council Members. Addressing the press meet, CPI Manipur State Council Secretary, Dr Moirangthem Nara said that the party would start awareness campaigns along with public in both hill and valley, against Corruption, against Mal-Practice, against the odds which are faced by the people from February 1.
“Public distribution system has failed. Distribution of food items should be universal and be distributed equally to both BPL and APL,” he said.
Speaking during the press meet, Ex-Minister, Kumbi A/C,said, it was very unfortunate that the state Government needed first to take clearance from the Cnetral government before committing to take any action against Livinstone, the accused in the Chandel incident.
