IMPHAL, December 9: A management student was killed in a road accident today at Thangmeiband College Gate at around 3:30 pm, when a bus hit the moped she was driving.
The victim has been identified as Urikhinbam Dani Devi, daughter of U Nilakanta of Yumnam Leikai Lairembi Maning.
The registration number of the moped (Pleasure) she was driving is MN-01Q-7985 and the registration number of the bus which hit her is MN-01-2008.
The incident happened when she was returning home after meeting a friend.
The helmet she was wearing was broken into two and her mobile handset was also found broken near her dead body.
Police have picked up the dead body and deposited at RIMS morgue for post mortem. Police have also taken up a case in regard to the incident seized the bus.
