IMPHAL, December 14: Suspected militants lobbed and exploded a Chinese hand grenade at the residence of an Assistant Engineer of PWD Moirang Sub-Division identified as Konjengbam Raishor, 52, son of Hera, of Moirang Mairenbam Leikai today evening at around 6:15.
The grenade exploded at a courtyard infront of his house. The windshield of his car (Santro) was completed damaged in the explosion.
However, no one was hurt as all his family members were inside the house at the time of the explosion.
Raishor said that he received a monetary demand letter some ten days ago from a militant group, but he was not sure whether it for real or not and in this meantime the bomb attack came.
