IMPHAL, December 26: The head master of Poiroukhongjil Tulihal Primary School was allegedly murdered infront of his house last night by unidentified person(s) at Wangkhem Mayai Leikai under Yairipok police station.
The deceased has been identified as Leimapokpam Jugindro, 68, son of (L) Tombi, a resident of Wangkhem Mayai Leikai.
He was the head master of Poiroukhongjil Tulihal Primary School and was supposed to get his retirement next year.
According to his family members, he went out last night at around 9 pm after having his dinner and was seen chatting with some of his local friends infront of their residential gate.
He was found dead this morning at around 5:30 by his daughter-in-law.
He sustained 4 to 5 cuts on his face which is likely to be cause by a knife or a sharp weapon and he also sustained injuries on his head which is likely to be caused by a heavy stick and also a heavy stick was found near his dead body, family members said.
A case has been registered at Yaripok police station in regard to the incident. The post mortem of his body will be conducted tomorrow at JNIMS morgue.
