IMPHAL, Dec 12: Kalakshetra Manipur has organised reception function of Heisnam Kanhailal, the recipient of Sangeet Natak Fellowship (Ratna Sadyapala 2011) and Kamal Kumari Award 2011, at Langol Laimanai community hall today.
Speaking as chief guest of the occasion MLA of Uripok A/C L Nandakumar said Kanhailal is a rare and talented artist. His activities deserve appreciation. It requires a person like Kanhailal to expose and popularise theatre.
The function was attended by president of MDU Kshetri Ibohal and Commissioner of Art and Culture, government of Manipur Dr RK Nimai as guest of honour and president respectively.
