IMPHAL, Dec 27: The 72 hour bandh called by the United Naga Council in all the Naga inhabited areas of the state starting from the midnight of December 26 has crippled normal life in Chandel and Chakpikarong. During the bandh today, markets remained close, vehicles also remained off the road and bandh supporters were seen burning tyres on the road. However, the bandh was not that effective at Tengnoupal with almost all the shops and market functioning normally though the number of vehicles plying on the Highway was very less.
