IMPHAL, Dec 10: The UNESCO club of Manipur in collaboration with DSSS celebrated the International Human Rights Day under the theme “My Voice Counts,” at Nagaram village community hall, Imphal, today.
According to its press release, Member Zila Parishad 6-Laipham Khunou, P Sunder Singh attended the occasion as the chief guest while Phungching Shaiza gave the keynote address to the congregation.
St Thomas Seminary, Fr Mareo also spoke on the importance of human rights in relation with spirituality of mankind. He further stressed on the theme “my voice counts” on human ethics and human rights. He said that more emphasized is to be given on the human rights education which is the need of the hour in every society, it said.
