Missing Nitin`s father unhappy with police investigation

IMPHAL, December 4: Surendra Mashi, father of the missing non local Nitin, expressed disappointment over the investigation works being carried out by the police and the state home department regarding his son’s missing case.

The father was visibly disappointed as the police have failed to solve the case even after eleven days since his son went missing.     

A press conference was called today at the Manipur Press Club by the JAC formed in connection with the Nitin missing case. The conference was also attended by Nitin’s family members. 

Speaking to media persons, Nitin’s father Surendra Mashi said that he is very disappointed with the way the investigation works has been carried out by the state police and the Home department, as the family members and the JAC have not received any positive response or outcome till today, even after 11 days since his son went missing.

His son works as an X-ray technician in a mission hospital at Indoor, Madhya Pradesh, he added.                 

Nitin’s wife Amila said that she was married to Nitin in the year 2004 and they had a daughter in 2007.

On November 7 her husband along with her brother Naorem Nandaraj and sister-in-law Shanti who are also staying at Indore came to Manipur to attend the ‘Ningol Chakkouba’, while she stayed back due her daughter’s examination, she said.

Further according to her, after she received news about her husband going missing, she along with her father-in-law came to Imphal on November 26.

11 days has passed since then but her husband remains traceless, she lamented.

The JAC has been imposing bandh in the area but till today no positive outcome can be seen, she added.

One of the JAC member said that they will continue with their bandh until the government finds out where Nitin is and appealed support from every organisation in the state to help in finding Nitin.
